Down the Block: Meet Caitlin Watson

The Eastmark community spirit is alive and well thanks to a collective set of awesome neighbors with distinct backgrounds, interests, and personalities. In our resident profile series, we’ll get to know a little more about the wonderful residents who call Eastmark home.

Caitlin Watson is one of those residents who has already made her mark on our community. She led Eastmark’s participation in the Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods (G.A.I.N.) event this past November, and she coordinates our community’s Neighborhood Watch program and Toddler Time at The ‘Mark.

It was after Caitlin and her family attended the very first Eastmark AwesomeFest in 2015 that they fell in love with the neighborhood. She and her husband went home that night to look at floor plans online and then came back the next day to tour the models in person.

The rest, as they say, is Eastmark history. Caitlin now lives in a beautiful Maracay home right across from Lumiere Garden Park with her husband, her three children, and a fur baby, too.

Caitlin is a New Jersey native, who made her way to Arizona seven years ago, with moves to Pennsylvania and California in between.

She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, specializing in children with autism. After the recent birth of her third child, Caitlin shifted her focus to stay-at-home mom to her daughters who are 3 years, 2 years, and 6 months old. Caitlin also recently became a representative for the Agnes and Dora clothing line.

You may have spotted Caitlin and her family out enjoying the parks throughout Eastmark. The Orange Monster and Rotor Park are two of their favorites. (Fun fact: Caitlin played soccer for the San Jose State University Spartans during college.)

When they’re not out at the park, you may find Caitlin and her family on a local hiking trail enojoying the desert landscape. And even though Caitlin and her husband stay quite busy with their three children, they still carve out time for one of their favorite pastimes together—cooking!

When it comes to a strong community, Caitlin values neighbors where people look out for one another and really become an extension of her family. Caitlin’s Eastmark neighbors threw her a surprise baby shower when she was pregnant with her third child, and they kept her family stocked with meals for two weeks after the baby was born. Now those are some awesome neighbors!

Caitlin’s favorite Eastmark event? You guessed it—AwesomeFest! It’s become such a tradition that her family skipped a family wedding to make sure they didn’t miss this year’s big event.

When it comes to Eastmark’s amenities, Caitlin is also a big fan of the Bus Stop and Community Pool at The ‘Mark. And, like many of us, she’s very excited for the delicious fare down the block at The Handlebar Diner.

Be sure to stop and say hi when you see Caitlin and her family around the ‘hood!
