This year we’ve decided to turn the AwesomeFest revelry into a two-night affair. On the Friday night before AwesomeFest—AwesomeEve as we like to call it—we have two magical gatherings in store for the adults and school-age children of Eastmark.
We hope you’ll plan to spend this very special evening with us as we gather with neighbors, spark new friendships, engage in kindness and creativity, and celebrate all that makes our community truly awesome.
Please note, both Friday evening events are specifically crafted for Eastmark residents only and a limited number of tickets are available for purchase.
Here’s what you need to know as you make your AwesomeEve plans. Both events take place on Friday, April 13.
We’re bringing together one of Arizona’s most iconic restaurants, Pizzeria Bianco, the East Valley’s renowned Steadfast Farm, and Southern Arizona winery Dos Cabezas for a distinct, open-air dining experience right here in the neighborhood.
As dusk settles in, we’ll gather around farmhouse tables set up on the street by Cambium Court Park. With bistro lighting and live music from guitarist Keith Jones to set the mood, guests will dine family-style on chef-prepared dishes (Pizzeria Bianco’s signature pizzas will be made on site, minus the two-hour wait!) featuring local fresh-from-the-farm produce. To fill your glass, you’ll enjoy a sampling of Dos Cabezas’ Red, White, and Pink varietals.
The proprietors of each of our featured partners will be in attendance, too. That’s right, Chris Bianco, Erich and Yvonne Schultz from Steadfast Farm, and Todd and Kelly Bostock from Dos Cabezas will be our special guests that evening. What an awesome opportunity to get their insights about the local wine and food scene!
Here’s a sneak peek at the menu:
Charcuterie Board (assorted dried meats and cheeses)
Fire Roasted Vegetable Antipasto
Local Organic Greens
Spring Quinoa Salad
Pizza Al Taglio (pizza by the slice):
-Fontina, red sauce, basil
-Pecorino, rosemary, red onion, fig jam
-Sausage and peppers with roasted potatoes
Flourless Chocolate Cake
Wild Berry Tart
Plan to leave your older kids at The ‘Mark (see below for details) and join us for a night of merriment, live music, thoughtful conversation, and culinary delights.
There is limited seating. Reserve your tickets by April 12.
Who says the adults get to have all the fun? Not us! We’ve invited the Be Kind Crew to lead us in a spirited night at The ‘Mark where kids will play, dance and create.
The Be Kind Crew is made up of young leaders who use urban dance, spoken word poetry, personal expression, and movement to help kids understand it really is cool to be kind.
Want to know what else is cool? The kiddos will learn a routine to be performed on stage during Saturday night’s AwesomeFest! They’ll also get the chance to make rock art creations to bring home and to share.
We know the kids will work up an appetite, so we’ll have tasty sack dinners from Handlebar Diner ready to go, and plenty of ice cream treats to top it all off.
While this is a childcare opportunity for parents attending the adult event, it is open to all children who are Eastmark residents.
