Steadfast Farm to Start Digging into Eastmark in 2018

The Eastmark lifestyle continues to get more exciting – and more tasty! In the coming months, Steadfast Farm, led by popular local farmer Erich Schultz, will literally dig into Eastmark to create a commercial urban farm which will grow delicious, organic fruits and vegetables for Eastmark residents, local restaurants and area buyers. By early Fall, Steadfast Farm at Eastmark will be producing nearly two-acres of 100-foot long beds vibrant with fruits and veggies such as lettuce, tomatoes and other healthy produce fresh from the garden to add to your salad bowl and dinner plate. Residents are encouraged to join the Steadfast Farm Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program to receive fresh produce on a regular basis. The Schultzes are expert farmers who have been involved in creating agrihoods and successful bio-intensive market farms here in the East Valley. They will be working with Eastmark’s Community Life team to create programming opportunities that ensure the farm also serves as a living classroom for adults and kids to learn how to grow, harvest and prepare fresh foods from a garden. Steadfast Farm at Eastmark is a great complement to the community’s focus on healthy living, connections and education.

Steadfast Farm at Eastmark will be located just north of the Eastmark Visitor Center, adjacent to the Eastmark Great Park. Produce harvested from the farm will be available through the farm’s CSA program and also at an onsite farm stand coming in late 2018.
