Nov. 16, 15 residents joined the now 46-member strong Eastmark Leadership alumni group at a graduation celebration that honored their achievement and commitment to our community.
Members of Eastmark Leadership Class 3 are:
Eastmark Leadership Class 3 spent 2017 discovering their “why,” diving into the meaning of Community Life, examining the Eastmark Vision, and understanding the complexities of governance so that they can in turn help guide neighbors and encourage community engagement.
Leaders also spent time focusing on personal growth and how to put their skills into action. Not to mention the connections made and friendships formed, this inspiring group of residents certainly made an impact on the community through their collective efforts.
In addition to the core program classes, resident leaders of Class 3 teamed up to bring forth two community-wide initiatives. On July 1, they facilitated the Spirit of Community Parade and are currently in the midst of organizing Eastmark Cares Jingle Jog on Dec. 9.
Eastmark Leadership was founded in 2015 and is an opportunity for residents to get more involved with our community. It also provides an incredible way to get to know neighbors and to build friendships. And finally, it’s a great way to learn more about your own values as a person and leader.
Residents interested in participating in Eastmark Leadership Class 4 please contact Kimberly Crowther Miller and provide your name, address and email.
Classes are held February through November the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. (with exceptions in March and May). In addition to the classes, several special activities are planned such as tours, social outings, and workshops.
While Eastmark Leadership does require an investment of time and a commitment of participation, there is no cost to you to participate. Candidates must attend an orientation on Jan. 18 where information about the application process will be provided.
Welcome to Eastmark
