The countdown is on to one of the most extraordinary events of the year. We’re cranking up the awesome meter for an unforgettable night of sights, sounds, and a few surprises that are sure to amaze you. Are you ready? See what’s in store and what’s brand new for this year’s AwesomeFest:
The word is out that AwesomeFest is a must-see affair. And as the event continues to evolve, we want to make sure attendees have an awesome experience. So this year, all attendees will need a ticket to enter the festivities. A limited number of tickets will be available to allow for smaller crowds and wait times.
Eastmark residents were emailed a promotional code (EMRES) for a limited number of free VIP tickets for family and guests. By March 30, a limited number of $10 General Admission tickets will be opened up to Eastmark VIPs, friends and remaining residents on a first-come basis. All attendees will need to have a printed or digital ticket (with barcode or QR code clearly displayed) to access the event.
AwesomeFest is a carnival for the senses with aerial artists, high-energy musicians, glowing entertainment, a flame-throwing fire truck, games, dancing, scientific demos, fabulous food. And that’s just the beginning.
Eastmark’s new Handlebar Diner will be officially open for business with an AwesomeFest-exclusive “grab and go” menu. You can reserve your meal when you order your event tickets – look for the “VIP Handlebar Diner Meal Ticket” option.
Many activities will be free of charge, but don’t leave home without cash or card on hand. Three beer gardens, 10+ food vendors, and several children’s rides and games will come with a cost. Just in case, ATMs will be on site.
April 22 is two times the awesome. Not only is it AwesomeFest, it’s also Earth Day. In honor of the day, we’ll celebrate sustainability in our ‘hood with water bottle refilling stations throughout the event, recycling stations to sort your post-meal food and drink items, and a Creation Station at the splash pad where you can craft and construct with recycled materials.
There’s not as much open space for parking this year, so we highly recommend you walk, bike, or carpool to the event. If you bike over, you can secure your wheels at a bike valet corral on the east side of the event along Eastmark Parkway.
Plan to leave coolers, outside food and drinks, pets, fireworks and sparklers, and weapons at home. Small lawn chairs, blankets, and empty water bottles? Bring ‘em! Don’t miss the rundown of permitted and prohibited items that will be listed on your event ticket. And remember to order your 2017 AwesomeFest t-shirt by March 31, so you can wear it the night of the event. These t-shirts are exclusively for Eastmark residents so you can easily spot your neighbors in the crowd.
Get ready to get your awesome on. We’ll see you April 22 for something extraordinary!
Welcome to Eastmark
