Be a hero for animals

January 2017 | Related Categories: Community Life | Resident News & Events

They’re cute. They’re cuddly. And they melt your heart. Of course we’re talking about cats and dogs. And many need a forever home.

For the next two months, we’re partnering with the Arizona Humane Society to raise awareness about the responsible and compassionate care for animals and the many important services AHS provides to the greater community.

You’re invited to come along for the journey! In the coming weeks you can get involved by participating in the following activities. Maybe you’ll discover you have such a passion for animals and you’ll become a foster family to help rehabilitate injured or neglected cats and dogs so they can find their forever homes.

The goals for the Eastmark Cares about Animals are:

  • To raise $2,600 in donations which will help three homeless animals get the care they need to find their forever homes.
  • Recruit 5 families to become foster heroes.
  • 8 pet adoptions at the Celebration of Pets event
  • To collect 200 kitten rice socks and 100 dog kongs for AHS shelters

Here’s what’s ahead and how you can get involved!
