Legend has it, these parts were once home to the infamous stagecoach stop, Pontiac Station. Gold miners from across the west passed through to rest their horses and grab some grub on their way to (hopefully) strike it rich in the Superstition Mountains. But as the years passed and mines were abandoned, all that was left of the dusty old town were a few empty buildings, and the sounds of long lost miners still rolling through in search of eternal fortune.
Rumor is, a few days before Halloween, for one night only, the old ghost town comes back to life as a spooky cast of characters come out to relive the golden days of Pontiac Station. And this year, you’re on the ghost…err, guest list.
As darkness falls on the Saturday before Halloween, plan to don your spookiest attire and join your fellow neighbors for a haunting good time, complete with carnival games, a ghostly maze, and bouncing pony races. Sink your teeth into soft pretzels, snow cones, cotton candy, churros, and kettle corn while The Eldorado Saloon serves up devilish brews for the 21+ ghouls. A costume parade for the youngins’ and a costume contest for teens and adults is sure to guarantee a frightfully good time for goblins of all ages.
