The Hunter family is an Original. Counted among the first 100 families to move into Eastmark and to lay foundation for our community.
When Jackie and Wes started their home search in the East Valley, they were looking for more than just a home. They were looking for a community. And not just any community. They wanted a community that supported their values and that would provide their children with a strong sense of connection.
Wes, an Army Reservist deployed to Afghanistan, wanted to be sure that wherever his family chose to live, the community would provide a strong support system. The comfort in knowing his family was cared for would be especially important when he was serving overseas.
For these reasons and more, the Hunter family chose Eastmark. Watch their touching video.
Jackie and her children moved to Eastmark last year. Serendipitously, they moved into their new home close to Memorial Day. Before the boxes were unpacked, Jackie reached out neighboring families to create a new Eastmark tradition.
Residents worked together to line all of Eastmark’s neighborhood parks with American flags. That’s 12 parks decorated in red, white and blue, creating a visual reminder of the sacrifice so many heroes have made for our country, including Wes Hunter.
For Eastmark, this tradition is more than these flags. Jackie’s talking with kids about the meaning of Memorial Day, and about patriotism and service. Today, the Hunters are preparing for Wes’ upcoming deployment in July. They are excited that this Memorial Day tradition at Eastmark has expanded to include Flag Day and July 4th too.
Welcome to Eastmark
