Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and that’s gotten us thinking a lot about love. While the February 14 tradition celebrates romantic love, at Eastmark we’re all about love for our community.
Maybe it’s the neighborhood parks, white blossoms on the Bradford pear trees, or taking a spin on our Eastmark Original Cruiser that has us feeling giddy. Or maybe it’s a sense of connectedness to our neighbors and the greater community that makes us appreciate where we live.
That being said, we’ve found three ways for you to woo your Valentine with fitness, fun, and food. You can enjoy all three within a shot of Cupid’s arrow of Eastmark’s backyard.
Take a hike at the Lost Dutchman State Park
ASU Geology Professor Steve Semken will lead a 2.5-mile walk along park trails while explaining the formation and foundation of the Superstition Mountains. Hikers should meet at 9 a.m. at Cholla Day Use. Maybe you and your Valentine will be the ones to find the famed gold said to be hidden in the mountain.
Go back in time at the 27th Annual Arizona Renaissance Festival
No other time in history is as romanticized at the Renaissance period. Experience the mystique for yourself at the Arizona Renaissance Festival — one of the largest themed events in the nation. Enjoy live entertainment, an outdoor circus, medieval arts and crafts fair, and jousting tournaments.
