On Friday, April 4 the lawn at The ‘Mark Visitor and Community Center at Eastmark was littered with picnic blankets, lawn chairs, coolers and kids. Residents gathered for the first in a series of free Friday evening concerts. Headlining the event was local top forties band Chuck E Baby and the All Stars.
Chuck E Baby has a solid following of fans ranging from the Boomer crowd to hipsters. One resident commented, “[I am] so excited for this! I’m a big music fan and Chuck E Baby has one of the best bands in the valley!”
Chuck E. Baby played several audience requests and sing-alongs while attendees donned glow-in-the-dark glasses, danced and enjoyed a laid-back evening with their neighbors.
Concerts will take place on the First Friday during spring and fall months. The next concert is slated for June 6 at 6:30p.m. in the Eastmark Great Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic baskets and lawn chairs.
