Construction at Eastmark continues to move at an impressive pace. Each day, crews populate the site working on homes, roads and park landscaping to prepare for the Eastmark Grand Opening. About every 10 days, we are flying a helicopter with a camera attached over the site to track progress.

The Palm Plaza is mostly completed with the palm trees already installed. Next, the underground system for the splash playground was installed and soon we will begin testing out the spray features. The Eastmark Great Park lawn is taking root and the lake has been filled. The lake provides the water for irrigating The Eastmark Great Park and was designed as a storm water retention basin to capture water that can be reused for irrigation.
BASIS Mesa is on a fast track with their development as well. Connected to The Eastmark Great Park, this school can grow to accommodate more students over time. In August, they will open their doors to the first classes of students.
Most of the 12 neighborhood parks are finishing up construction now. Each of the parks feature unique play structures in addition to beautifully designed ramadas and shade areas. The Eastmark design teams selected different play structures for each park so kids in the neighborhoods will always have new places to explore and test their skills and strength.
Every day more trees and plants are being installed to populate the neighborhood parks and public streets. The trees are planned to grow into shade canopies over time. Standard Pacific, Woodside and Meritage Homes have models under active construction along the Cambium Court park.
One of the most exciting construction milestones is the opening of Ray Road. This past Thursday, the road opened and now leads visitors directly in to Eastmark.
