Eastmark was thrilled to have the opportunity to host Tough Mudder’s annual event for yet another year in 2013. As part of our agreement with Tough Mudder, the Eastmark team had decided to invest all of those proceeds back in the East Valley community.

This year, Eastmark donated to Mesa United Way’s annual campaign which will serve a number of key health and human service organizations in the East Valley. Dea McDonald, Senior Vice President at DMB Associates and the General Manager for Eastmark, was delighted to be able to support this organization where he also serves as a board member.

This donation, along with so many others, propelled Mesa United Way’s 2012-13 pledge campaign past the $2 million mark.

Mesa United Way supports dozens of local organizations that help fulfill its mission to provide basic services, educational programs, health care and programs that foster self-reliance. In addition, they have created programs, and partner with national agencies, that provide essential services in areas not covered by local private, non-profit agencies.

The Tough Mudder was held on February 23rd and 24th and is an extreme 10+ mile adventure challenge designed to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. This worldwide event has raised more than $5 million for the Wounded Warrior Project.
