Eastmark Construction Update

February 2013 | Related Categories: Construction | What's New

In the design phase of Eastmark, the planning teams thoughtfully developed the parks and community spaces to bring back some of the great Arizona destinations and honor those traditional architectural ideals. With just over 100 days left until the Grand Opening at Eastmark, construction teams are working feverishly to complete the first phase of DMB’s next great community. Currently, we are in the process of building out the key areas adjacent to The Eastmark Great Park as well as roads and neighborhood infrastructures.

The Eastmark Palm Plaza
At the base of The Eastmark Great Park, a Palm Plaza is quickly rising. This enjoyable social hub will feature a canopy of shady palms, an interactive water play area, relaxing benches and scenic gathering points. It was designed to showcase Eastmark’s unique views of the Superstition Mountains and create a sense of arrival that harkens back to the great entrances of old Arizona destinations such as the Arizona Biltmore. This week, a grove of towering date palms are being installed to create this dramatic entryway into the Great Park as well as serve as the pathway to The Eastmark Visitors and Community Center, better know as The ‘Mark.

The ‘Mark

Eastmark Community Center, Mesa AZvibrant community, featuring the best amenities of traditional DMB community centers. Along with The Eastmark Great Park, it will serve as serve as a gathering point for Eastmark residents and their friends, and grow over time to accommodate the social and civic needs of the community. This week, the construction teams will begin working on the full catering kitchen where residents will be able to host large and small events. The high ceilings and uniquely designed rooftop mirror the majestic silhouette of the Superstition Mountains in the distance. The ‘Mark’s back wall features a series of retractable doors that roll up on sunny days to allow visitors access to the scenic surroundings and mountain backdrops.
