Gov. Brewer: Future of East Valley bright

“DMB, which owns 5 square miles of the old GM site, announced this week it is renaming its development Eastmark. The company rolled out a new website for the project with the slogan “The future heart and hub of the East Valley.”

Company officials said they plan to announce a lineup of homebuilders by midyear and break ground for about 800 houses in early 2013.

Those plans prove, Brewer said, that “the East Valley and the state as a whole have a bright economic future.”
