The Gateway Library, Mesa Public Library’s first new branch in 30 years, is located in the heart of Eastmark’s Great Park. Designed to complement its surroundings, the library offers welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces overlooking the park’s scenic lake and amenities.
Already recognized for excellence with a 2024 Library Interior Design Award from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the American Library Association (ALA), this space isn’t just another library—it’s a stunning, state-of-the-art destination that will inspire Eastmark families for generations. At 28,000 square feet, it features an open-concept interior with beautifully lined rows of books and materials for all ages, a THINKspot collaborative workspace and makerspace, a multi-purpose room for community gatherings or meetings, a young adult lounge, a Sensory Room, a Nursing Room, hold lockers that allow patrons 24/7 access to pick up books and other library materials, and a dedicated children’s area for storytime and play. Outside, a landscaped reading patio and plaza offer peaceful spaces with lake views for casual meetups or events,.
