DMB and the Eastmark team were honored to be a part of the team that brought Apple’s newest US operations to Arizona. This investment in Mesa at Eastmark has now been recognized by the two of the nation’s leading site selection magazines as one of the top economic development and land deals this year in the United States.
In late 2013, Apple announced that it would be purchasing the manufacturing facility at Eastmark and producing sapphire glass for its products. This manufacturing facility, operated in partnership with GT Advanced Technologies, was Apple’s first investment in Arizona and it’s reported that the total investment could reach $1 billion. Creating hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars in investment in Mesa, this new operation positions Mesa and Eastmark as a key destination for other complementary businesses to locate nearby.
Site Selection and Business Facilities Magazine, two national publications focused on helping companies identify great places to locate businesses, recognized Apple’s Arizona investment at Eastmark with prestigious deal of the year awards.
These publications reviewed thousands of corporate relocations, investments and deals from around the country and honored only a few with these awards. They acknowledged the unique collaboration of the State, the City of Mesa, economic development groups like GPEC and DMB for their work to help accelerate Apple’s purchase and permitting for the new manufacturing operation.
For businesses looking to move to the East Valley in Metro Phoenix, Eastmark offers a speed and flexibility that few other sites can match. The unique entitlements secured for the 3,200 acres anticipate large and small corporate campuses to locate there. Eastmark’s location also gives Apple and other future employers direct and easy access to key transportation corridors and a growing reliever airport.
We are looking forward to bringing more high tech employment to this growing region of the Valley.
Welcome to Eastmark
